I AM 21 YEARS ,FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS I WAS FEELINF WETNES IN THE UMBILICAL AREA, THE PUS STARTED COMING OUT AND FOR ABOUT A WEEK BLLOD DROP OOZES OUT OF THE AREA. I GOT BLOOD TESTS, ULTRASOUND, URINE EXAMINATION DONE. THE PATHOLOGOY REPORTS SHOW ALL NORMAL.I HAVE BEEN DOING EXTENSIVE GYM TRAINING FOR THE LAST ONE YEAR. THE ECG EAS ALSO NORMAL. HOWEVER THE BLOOD PRESSURE WAS 170/92 , 160/90 AND 130/90 FOR THE LATS THREE DAYS IN THAT ORDER. BP. WAS ALSO ON HIGH SIDE 150/100 FOUR YEARS BACK BUT I HVE NOT FELT ANY PROBLEMS. THE PATHOLOGY RULES OUT EFFECTS ON HEART, KIDNEY , DIABETES BUT THE DOCTOR IS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF HIGH BP AND UMBILICAL PROBLEM. HOWEVER HE HAS ADVISE ME TO STOP GYM

  • My boyfriend recently had a similar experience. He had an abdominal CT and was diagnosed with a urachal cyst. The cysted had become an abcess and was draining through the belly button. He had the cyst sugically drained and packed - it healed in about 2 weeks. Other urachal anomalies include a urachal sinus and a patent urachus. (The uraches connects the dome of the bladder to the umbilicus but is supposed to close off before you are born). Good luck
