FYI: Sorry for a double post. I timed out and tried to submit, not sure if the first one went through!
Hello friends. I am new here and would appreciate your thoughts on the following...
My wife and I met 10 years ago. 8 years ago we had a daughter. During the pregnancy, my wife found out she had Hepatitis B. Not knowing much about it then, she got tested again after the pregnancy and she began returning back to normal and there was no trace of Hepatitis B. Our daughter got the immunoglobin shots after birth and she is healthy today.
Fast forward to 2010, my wife is pregnant again. She has blood tests ran and it shows up that she has Hepatitis B. She also had liver sonograms done and all that returned back fine. She has no symptoms of Hepatitis B. What the heck is going on?
She has it, she doesn't, now she has it. It seems she has it when she is pregnant only, but we are unsure. I was tested then and last week, I am uninfected and have antibodies against HepB. Her liver tests are good, she has no symptoms and the doctors (general and specialists) are baffled. What could this be friends? We are scared for her and the babies future.
