I'm a 19 year old student and I've been having really scary "episodes" over the past month or so. When these happen, which is always in the morning right when I wake up, I start to twitch in random intervals. My whole body trembles for only a second or two, but during that time I cannot speak because I forgot what I was talking about. I went to the hospital the first time it happened and they did a CT and chest x-ray and blood testshttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/mag-glass_10x10.gif, and everything looked fine. They put me on Ativan, which I have taken during every subsequent episode (which has only been about 3 or 4). The medicine calms me down and I eventually stop twitching and go back to normal. What do you think this is? I assume it has something to do with my lack of sleep, but should it be this extreme? It happened this morning and my knee gave out and I slammed my chin into a towel dispenser. What's wrong with me??
