I have a grade 4 annular tear in my L4-L5 and I have grade 3 annual tear in my L5-S1 with a small disc protusion. I am in a TON of pain in my lower back. I have no pain in my legs. I have been to 2 neurologists. They say with rest the tear will heal itself and with physical therapy. My physical therapist said the tear can't heal itself and therapy will just get rid of the tension and spasms. Right now I am so stiff and in pain. I can;t work and I can't bend. I have been dealing with back problems for three years. About every 6 months it goes out when I try to run, jump, or lift and it puts me on my back for 1 week. Has anyone had tears without major bulging or ruptured disc? What do you recommend?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
