I am hoping that someone can help me here. I am a 35 year old male and I have been having this skin problem for approximately 2 years. I have seen 3 GP's, 3 Dermitologist and one Allergist. I have been mis-diagnosed as having scabies, contact dermatitis, atopical dermatitis, etc. I have tried steriods, creams and more creams. I am posting pictures of my rash in hopes that someone on this site has had the same type of rash and might know what is causing it. I have had blood work done numberous times and all results have been normal. My allergy test (back patch)showed no sensitivity to any of the things that were included in it. I have changed jobs, soaps, location and everything else I could think of and all to no avail.
The rash is mainly on my hands and ankles. There is a picture of my leg where I was bitten and the doctors thought it was a spider bite, but it has never healed and it happened prior to the rash coming on.

I have several other things going on that just don't add up and I did not have before the rash.
Bloating
Excessive gas
Headaches
Joint pain
Premature graying
Swelling of hands
Shortness of breath
Excessive bowel movements (5x per day)
Excessive weight gain (20lbs in 3 months)
Knots under the skin in the right arm on the inside of the elbow, on the upper right leg and on the left side of the stomache a very large one, then on the right side under the ribcage I have one.

You will need to enlarge to get the full view of the rash and the weeping blisters.
I am grateful for any input on this matter.

Also Lyme's can create rashes. I would make a guess and state that the cause of these problems is a parasitic infection -I would think that the infection is in the GI tract (bloating, gas, weight gain, multiple bowel movements). the swelling of the hands is due to a immune reaction - are your feet swollen, neck swollen? Joint pain is definately from an immune reaction. Are you beginning to have anxiety, panic type of disorders? Confusion, brain fog? Little things bothering you? -bad stress reactions?

  • Hi, I work in the Veterinary world and ruling out a parasitic infection is a good idea. I will forwarn you that your basic MD does not know that much about parasitology. I recently attended a parasite convention (kinda funny i know). Point it, most ppl are misdiagnosed at first. The CDC actually is working with the Veterinarians to get the word out about round worms in children, specifically racoon round worms. The video did show some adults with parasitic infections, some had skin issues, all had diarrhea and bloating. Its a simple test and can rule out so much. It might help and can';t hurt. Also, you dont have to have pets to get parasites. You can get them fishing, camping, streams and just from eggs that are microscopic. Worth a mention. Good luck!
