My daughter is 6 yrs. old. A few days back she complaint of Stomach ache and with a mild fever. We took her to a doctor and he said it is just virul and may be some throat infection. So we gave her antibiotics for 2-3 days. Her conditon didn't improve and she normally had fever in the morning and in the evening in the range of 100. But she was very dull and her appetite also reduced. She had constipation and stomach ache. In between her fever rises to 102deg. So she just wanted to sleep. So we got worried and contacted the Dr. again, who then told us to take to hospital.
In Hospital her blood test was done and the TLC count was 29000. Then Dr. gave her drip of antibiotics (Monocef), and after 3 days her TLC count came down to 15300 and after 7 days they came down to 9300.
Now she is fine otherwise but still has a fever of abot 99.2 deg, in 1-one or two times a day. She is taking oral medicines at present.
Please suggest does the TLC count of 29000 requires further investigation or is it OK as she is improving now with by taking food and liquid diet.
