I am losing hope. My memory and ability to do much of anything where i have to focus seems like it's gone. I've been to doctor after doctor, telling the same thing, mostly "i feel like everything is blurred and unreal. snowy vision, and very tired during the day". not exactly that but you know. i'm 19 years old, male, and had just about every test done, including blood test for hypothyroidism. but i had a sleep study done at a sleep center last night, and it was terrible. then a day sleep study, and i hardly fell asleep at all during the night one, only once or twice during the daytime naps.
ok my symptoms match up with everything sleep apnea causes, except blood pressure problems. mine is pretty normal. I am extremely tired and irritated but i'm so used to it, i just physically don't notice it, only mentally. I see the sleep doctor next week for the results, but i can't wait. is there anything i can do now? i'm so brain dead all the time even IM starting to wonder if i'm not drugged up. i'm only on luvox, and i had this problem way way before.

Were they of the severity they are now or have they worsened since starting fluvoxamine?Al the symptoms you present with...the fatigue, altered memory, sleep difficulty, altered vision...are consistent with side effect of fluvoxamine. How long have you been taking it and what is your total daily dosage?Don't give up!John

  • Sorry that you have to go through so many issues at a young age. There are some things out there to help with boosting memory: Ginkgo biloba--increases alertness and reduces mental fatigue Vinpocetine--increases blood flow to the brain and can help repair brain tissue Huperzia serrata--prevents breakdown of vital neurotransmitters Gotu kola--reduces stress and increases concentration However ask your doctor if these will interefere with your current medicines before taking them. Good Luck!
