hey...felt ill for a while with mild abdominal pain...normally made worse by alcohol. joint pain comes and goes, and my vision has decreased slightly (more floaters in eye). stools are mixed, often with little black dots.

but this week, i have noticed little black dots in my semen...almost like hair/fluff. in addition, i have struggled to maintain as strong an erection as usual.

any ideas?

  • i was going to suggest blood because blood coming out can sometimes appear black rather than red or purple but seens its fluffy i dont know if that would be the case. However stomach problems, joint pain, erectil problems and blood in the penis can be a sign of STD possibly get yourself tested even if it has been a while since you had sex or you know your partner. Even if it isnt thast i think it is something you need to be seen about

  • i can relate to you 100%.i have had this problem for over 8 years now ever since Summer of 2001 and i have been diagnosed with Chronoic Prostatitis.Furthermore everytime i ejaculate i always get this Fluffy Hairy bits of fluff present in my semen which i never ever used to get before i got this Chronic Prostatitis problem.Doctors try to come out with bull**** theories like "it must just be fluff from your underwear".If that was the case then how come i never ever experience this before i got CP.and if that was the case then how come even if i wear WHIT underwear oi still get this Blck / Blue hairy bits of fluff ?Then doctors try to say it must be Blood because bits of old dried blood is black. If that was the case then WHY is this stuff HAIRY and FLUFFY and Blue and Purple etc ?i have had this problem for over 8 years now and i STILL do NOT know what it is.

  • NO it is not dried blood.I have had this hairy fluffy coming out in my semen for over 8 years now and it is NOT dried blood.it is like little FLUFFY STRANDS of Hairs in my semen but they are not hairs a they are more FINER than hairs.if it was blood then it would not be like strands of hairs.although most of the time they are every SMALL but occasionally every now and then i get the BIG bit and i have tried to analyze it and felt it and rolled it about in my fingers etc and pulled it apart too.It is EXACTLY like the fuff that you get in your belly button, only difference is that it is Dark Blue Purple in color whereas Belly Button fluff is usually grey.

I only suggest this because you state its a strand that is black, blue or purple. I ran across this site awhile ago and I thought it was interesting.

I just got one for the first time, pulled it apart and everything and it was that blackish blue color. It was like a string or lint, but it felt strange. I've never been diagnosed with an illness like CP and i'm 24.

It started when I was 16 and the blue stuff comes in my semen for like 6 months then disappears for like 6 or so months. Its strange. I went about 1.5 years without it but the other day it came back out of the blue...no pun intended lmao. When I first got it 5 years ago it was bigger. Now it is smaller and less numerous this time around.I don't think it is harmful to your health. I have no diseases, no pain when urinating or ejaculation, no prostate problems, no errection problems etc. It remains a mystery to me.

Started a couple of weeks ago. One tome there was blood spots in my seman. That only happened once. Now every time I ejaculate, there are tiny blue or black strands. It looks like lint. Up close, sort of like tiny, parts of blue blood vessels.

  • I found this post very interesting as Im a past sufferer of Morgellon's (i had it as a coexisting condition to another condition i still have). With Morgellons.. wee little threads of blue, black or red strands are common, also BLACK SPECTS are common in this illness (another less common form of it is where these wee frosted glass like rice grain things are coming out of the skin). These things often come out of peoples skin and make them very very itchy and give like biting or skn crawling sensations where they are inside of the skin. CDC is still investigating this as no one knows what it causes this issue or what those threads are. http://www.cdc.gov/unexplaineddermopathy/ It appears that you guys may have another form of this condition yet to be discovered!! as what you describe IS THE SAME THING as what comes out of skin of morgellon's sufferers (maybe due to it being ejected like it is..and it not coming out throu actual skin in your cases, maybe that is why you arent all suffering from the skin sensations normal Morgellon's sufferers usually get). I suggest that someone who has this issue with ejecting these same things out.. contact the CDC about this and Morgellon's along with providing this wrong diagnoses thread link .. as it will give them something new to consider about it. Maybe there are parasites?? which produce it which are hiding out in prostates and other body parts are habouring them... or some kind of chemical reaction forming the threads??? A link to these posts sent to the CDC, could help the CDC in their investigation to gain new Morgellon's info.

You definately have got some new form of Morgellons!!! Not only do you have the Morgellons black specks as many call them.. but you also have other symptoms which are common in it too. from the cdc site on it CDC continues to receive reports of an unexplained skin condition which some refer to as “Morgellons”. Persons who suffer from this condition report a range of cutaneous or skin symptoms including crawling, biting and stinging sensations; granules, threads, fibers, or black speck-like materials on or beneath the skin; and/or skin rashes or sores. In addition to skin symptoms, some sufferers also report fatigue, mental confusion, short term memory loss, joint pain, and changes in vision. At this time, scientists and doctors do not know what causes this condition. http://www.cdc.gov/unexplaineddermopathy/ Your case is proof that it must be able to be inside the body and come from inside of it and not just sitting inside the skin!!

  • I registered because I came across this thread in a Google search. I also have this same symptom. Black specs, and what appears to be fibers in my semen. At first I also just thought this was coming off my boxers, but after looking more closely I realized it was definitely coming out of me. Has anyone had any kind of doctors diagnosis about this? I don't have a family doctor, and went to a walk in clinic, but the walk in clinic just told me it could be one of a few different STD's and told me to go to the local STD testing clinic. He really did nothing for me. I'm going to go eventually but I work ridiculous hours. That aside, I know my own sexual history and an STD is VERY unlikely. Hasn't anyone else been to a doctor about this? If so can you post feedback?

  • Ok odd questions. Do you live in a desert region? Also have you ever been out side the country?Nowhere near desert. I'm in Canada. Also haven't been outside the country in ages. Another point ref. STD's. I have no other STD like symptoms. No pain, or discomfort while urinating or ejaculating. The ONLY symptom appears to be the black fibers/specs in my semen and pre-ejaculate.

  • I just came across this form and found it interesting. according to this article http://www.natural-health-information-centre.com/morgellons-disease.html, if it is a form of Morgellons then more then likely you live in California, Texas or Florida"One fascinating approach that has been bearing some significant fruit is the treatment of Morgellon's as an infective process (whether natural or not). This likely stems from the similarity of the "secondary" symptoms described above (tiredness, memory loss, confusion etc) to the group of troublesome diseases with similar symptoms, including lyme disease, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and even Gulf War syndrome. Recent evidence has raised the possibility that these diseases have so many common features that they are virtually indistinguishable from one another, and may even be the same disease. This has led to some pioneering work with highly effective, non-toxic natural treatments for infection, with astounding results"
