Throat/Neck Issues abound

Ok, so back in January I was diagnosed with bronchitis at an Urgent care hospital. At the start of my feeling ill from the bronchitis I began to feel this, what I would call, swelling just under my jaw on the left side. I am not certain if swelling is the proper term to use but it is the best I can think of. Anyway, since the bronchitis left (after a week or so) this swelling has stuck around. Occasionally a very mild sensation of a full ear occurs with it. There is absolutely zero pain, however at around 1 or 2 AM in the morning the past few nights I have been waking up with what I would describe as a very dry mouth that is accompanied by soreness in the tonsil area. All of this comes and goes and none of these symptoms exist on a regular basis.

I have an appointment with my GP in late June, but I was hoping someone might be able to calm my nerves between now and then with some related experience. I am a 27 year old male.
