Felt ill on and off for some years. T0-day is typical, woke up feeling sick, metallic taste(bitter) in mouth with more saliva than usual, pain in the back of my head, vertigo, confused, have lost a stone in weight in less than a year, constipation alternated with acute frequency of bowel movements, flatulence, belching, particularly in the morning, pain in top right abdomen, no appetite and look really pale, completely exhausted, joint pain and cold, have lost muscle in the past three months....feel desperate and am 53 and weigh 8st 6lbs
height 5 ft 7 inches, ironically when I have taken metronidazole in the past, it has worked but only termporarily.

  • How are your teeth? Do your gums bled when you brush? Have you considered periodontal disease?

  • Thanks for suggesting the peridontal disease and I am seeing a top dentist on November 1st and have had some serious stuff around teeth, a crown broke recently and am waiting to have it re-done, and the back tooth is shot to bits, so maybe extraction is the answer. Though I don't have gum disease. Thanks for taking time to comment.

  • Your age and the joint pain might be hyperparathyroidism. Right upper quadrant pain could be gall bladder, biliary or liver problems.
