For some reason the tips of my pinky fingers are purple. They have been like that for about a month and a half. They have checked me for diabetes. It came back negative. Anyone have any idea what could be going on?????

  • Smash - how about checking for cardiovascular issues - or to break it down further vein/blood flow problems. For whatever reason I am wondering if you are not getting enough oxygenated blood to these extremities. How are your feet doing? How about the blood return when you press on finger/toe nail beds? Do you smoke? Do you have diabetes? Are they this color all of the time -- some of the time? During work or lesiure do you have your arms and/or hands in a way that could cut off or lower blood flow to these fingers? (Example: Me -- if my computer chair is too low and if my wrists sit on the edge of my laptop, then my hands get pins and needles. If I don't correct this ASAP, then the hands will get pretty numb. The longer or more frequently I've done this, the greater the pain and the longer it takes for my hands to come back to normal). Be well...I hope your pinky fingers heal quickly. HumptyDumptyette
