Since March 30 I have been sick.:( I caught a cold, recovered, and then the next morning woke up and had horrible swelling just above the right testicle.
Life has been ***l since then. First they thought it was cancer, and I had to go through a battery of tests and SURGERY--yes, you can guess what happened.
Then, I figured all was well. The bad testicle was removed. Go figure, the infection spread to the other one, and apparently to other part of my reproductive system/urinary system have been effected. There is not really burning when I pee, though I did have light symptoms of this at the beginning of the first infection. I also feel it sometimes in what I guess is the Vas Deferens or some area there. I also have tingling in my pinky and ring fingers on each hand sometimes, though it's not always there.
Some days I feel little pain, then I'll feel bad the next day. Usually the pain increases over the course of the day, culminating in the evening. I usually wake up feeling okay.
My urologist prescribed CIPROFLOXACIN HCL, but it hasn't done much. My doctor said it could take months, but should I bee seeing SOME results?!
I'm very young and I'm not ready to lose BOTH testicles. My doctor said this wouldn't happen since removing the other one didn't stave off the infection, but I'M TIRED OF FEELING PAIN DOWN THERE!!!
Please, if you know anything about this topic, I would appreciate your advice.
By the way, tests have ruled out the following: Cancer, AIDS, gonherrea, TB, other STD's
