I'm having right testicle pain for five months now. Within a week or two, I had sharp pain in my thighs and then below the knees to my ankle. The sharp thigh and leg pain disappeared in a few weeks. But the testicle pain still persists. I had an ultrasound of my testicle and abdomen and CT scans of pelvis and abdomen but all came clear. I was seen by a urologist who checked my bladder and prostate. All clear. A month before I started having dull pain and tiredness in both legs, more in my right leg. My doctors are not being able to find anything. Could it be pinched nerves or something? I'm seeing a neurologist within two weeks. I want to get an idea of what could this be. Could it be pinched nerve somewhere? Could a nerve problem cause testicle pain?

Any advices and suggestions are welcome. Thank you.

  • Going to the neurologist is a good thing. There are so many possibilities with testicular/scrotal pain. Your urologist ruled out the usual ones like testicular torsion, etc. It is possible that there is a problem at the root of the nerves for the scrotum: ileoinguinal, genitofemoral or posterior scrotal nerves. The dermatome for those nerves is S3 or S4 (sacral nerve #3 or 4). You can do a google image search for a dermatome map to give you an idea. It is possible that some compression of nerves could be the at the root of the problem. Best wishes in resolving your symptoms.
