I have had left testicle pain for about 10 months now and I can't seem to get rid of it. I have been to my doctor (several times) a surgeon and a local sports clinic and have nothing concrete. I have been told it is probably a groin pull but even with stretching all the time it wont go away I have also been told it was a hernia (from the sports clinic) but that was never followed up . The pain started in the middle of a soccer game but there was no specific point or action that happened that i can remember causing this.

Symptoms: testicle pain when
sitting up
getting dressed (putting pants and shoes on)
getting in/out of bed
shifting positions in bed
coughing or sneezing
bending while moving
lifting while moving
kicking soccer ball
stretching groin suddenly
when moving right leg inward while having pressure against it

I always have a "feeling" in the testicle no matter what i do but it doesn't hurt when I am sitting or walking or other such things. I do not have a lump or bulge anywhere says the doctor and it doesn't hurt when urinating or during intercourse. I have heard of a sports hernia and am wondering if that could be it.

  • Hi there. you have my sympathy. Many years ago I had a lot of pain in my testicles, mainly in the left one. I eventually underwent surgery for varicoceles. That didn't solve the problem, on the contrary, as the pain started bothering me on the other side. Anyway, the pain bothered me for many years. I believe it was radiating from my lower back along the nerves that relate the spine to the testies. I also believe that there was a psychosomatic component to the pain. All the docs and specialists I went to could do nothing to help me. The pain became a steady companion in my life for over 10 years. In my case, the reoccurrance of the pain became less frequent and eventually very sporadic. I believe that the work I did on myself, my life, my psychological/physical wellbeing all contributed to this symptom (the testicular pain) to subside.

  • Have you had an MRI or CT scan done of the area to check for any kind of tumors or obstructions? As for a hernia, it would presumably have to be an ingunial hernia- this is where your intestinal lining rips and the intestines spill into the scrotum. Presumably one of the doctors would have discovered this by now as the main visable symptom is a "giant" testicle in light of the intestines.
