I have a fungus ball in left lung that causes me to cough up blood from time to time. I have been hospitalized several times but when the bleeding is not to bad I just tough it out till it stops. Usually within a few minutes. Two weeks ago I started coughing up blood pretty bad while sleeping. I sat up and the coughing got worse till I was having trouble breathing. All of a sudden I had a very strange feeling in my back. It felt like a severe electrial shock. I then went into paralysis. I fell back on the bed and could not move any part of my body for I don't know how long. Finally the paralysis started to relax a little bit. I kept trying to sit up numerous times finally I was able to get a hold of the edge of of bed and sit up. It was very difficult to stay up. By this time my wife was there and dialed 911. The ambulance personal had to carry me out to other room where gurney was and take me to hospital. Nobody could tell me for sure what happened to me. Within about forty eight hours it was about gone. Has anybody ever heard of a situation like this?

Thanks---Art

  • I would like to add that I saw two Doctors while in ER. One said it was caused by lack of oxygen. The other said it was a muscle spasm. Later in room one said he did not know. The second said probably loss of blood pressure. I was told to see my primary care Doctor when I went home. Four Doctors four different answers. My primary Doctor agreed with the lack of oxygen thing and that there was nothing that could be done to keep it from happening again. I am actually somewhat scared to got to bed at night and do not sleep very good. Will appreciate all responses.Thanks---Art

  • H,I just wanted to reply, I have many symptoms, no clues and I need them. I had an "episode" the other day, worse than the others. Hot flash, tingling in the arms, then legs, cramping so bad that I had no control of my limbs, my 26 year old son happened to be hear during the most recent episode, he tried to peel apart my limbs and couldn't (he's very strong). I have no idea what could be causing these episodes. I have gone on the web, there are several seeming explanations. I know I will have to see a dr, but I know they don't listen, and I have no insurance. That's why I do the online thing before seeing a dr. Thanks, Beckie

  • Dear Becky....you are telling my story! I had all of your symptoms. I called mine "spells"...you say episodes...same thing. I had all of it. PLEASE consider NAET or Bioset as a way to get well. My symptoms are all gone. I am now back to work and doing my homework to become a BioSET practicioner myself. I have been a nurse for 15 years and have never seen anything like this form of accupressure as far as a medical treatment. We only have one approach to medicine so we think that is the only wayn to do it.....NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look into this....It will help, immensely!! Best, mommy cat:)

I have seen soooo many different doctors who are completely stumped as to what it could be. Did you ever find a way to ease the symptoms or find out what is causing it?Any information or help would be so greatly appreciated. Kim D
