My teenage daughter has been ill for 4 months. She has visited with a pediatrician, neurologist, gynecologist, urologist, rheumatologist, gastroenterologist and infectious disease specialist. She has had numerous blood labs and urine. Her blood continues to show nothing, everything is within normal limits.
Her symptoms are:
headache, body ache, fatigue, and crazy fevers that come and go at will. They last 30 minutes or so, never need to be treated and come when they want. - no pattern. She caught a stomach virus (the rest of the family had it) about 30 days ago and vomited for 20 days till she was put on prevacid. Now, she is nauseous and has stabbing pains.
She is so ill that she has not been to school for 6 weeks and we are planning on homeschooling her next semester if she is still ill. Her entire life has come to a halt. No friends, no social life,= no life.
Are there other specialists she could see? Anyone have similar symptoms?
