It all started about 72 hours ago. I had woken up that day with a pain in my shoulder on my left side at about the joint. I tried to ignore it till it moved from the shoulder to my elbow, to my wrist, a simple dull ache. Every once in a while a tingly feeling like it was falling asleep.
I had gotten online to see what it may be just for the sake of maybe knowing when I cam across some write ups of warnings for heart issues. I kinda got scared at the idea of having a heart attack. We all know they are no joke. they only person I could to give me a ride there was my mother at 1 am. When I arrived I had an EKG test right away. The little tabs, the guy making a strange face kinda bugged me. He said that everything looks to be just fine, save for my pulse which was at about 130.
I went back out into the waiting room and 45 mins later I got to see the doctor. They took 3 vials of blood, and did a CT scan as well as a x ray. I was giving a iv bag of something. that the doc said really didnt slow my pulse down, then another of the same an hour later with an anti inflammatory for my shoulder. My pulse finally came down to about 98 to 106. He had said that all the tests came back clean.
He had asked if I had any history of panic attacks, I had said not that I know of. Then asked if I wanted to opt to stay over night or just go home. Saying he didnt really see a reason out side the shoulder pain to stay in the ER. He sent me home with an Rx for some anti inflammatory pills and away I went.
Woke up today with the same shoulder pain, now with some of it in the very upper lift side of my pectoral muscle, its not there all the time. but ever once in awhile.
The papers he gave me on my release, upset me a bit. The Tachycardia listing about my high pulse had me wondering how bad it is. Upon reading around the net I see that it can lead to a heart attack if it goes unchecked. I have never really had a fast pulse outside of hard work or activity.
I'm not in very healthy shape either, being 5'10 and 350 pounds. Most of my diet is bad too. I dont smoke or drink. No drugs out side of over the counter.
Does any one know what type of Tachycardia I may have ? and What I could do to get rid of it, or even if you can ?
