My daughter has a distended belly (we knew she was full since she was born whenever her tummy was out and tight). That comes and goes. When she was nearly 1 and a half we found out that she had high blood pressure. Many tests later, and her kidneys were the culprits. One more than the other. She was put on first one medication and then another. At nearly max doses on both, it seems to be under control. As we jacked each one up, not much happened. Sometimes I think the meds are not really helping much. the readings are to inconsistent sometimes. Now she is extremely thirsty (due to the meds, in my opinion). I am not sure what to do. I am convinced that hypertension is either not the only issue or not what she has. If you have any ideas, please let me know.
