I have been having problems with my stomach for a while, i was told by my doctor that i have IBS, but i fear it my be more serious. My Stomach will swell up to the size that it looks like i am pregnant and becomes very solid to touch. I feel very full when this happens, even though i may not have eaten anything. It used to happen mostly at night time, but now it is happening during the day. when my stomach swells i have a pain that i can most closely assoicate with "period pain". I also get a stiff back and pain in my lower back. i also have problems going to the toilet and constipation. can anyone help or give me some advice?
thank you

  • Absolutely agree - I didn't see where you had updated your dr on new signs....ibs can be an initial diagnosis but diverticulitis has most of the symptoms you describe.....you didn't say how big you were to begin with - but looking like you are pregnant and hard to the touch is not something to mess with.
