I am a 35 yr old female, white heavy set women. In October 2008 I noticed swelling in my left armpit followed by chest pain on the same side a few weeks later. I went to the doctor and he sent me for an ultrasound. It showed a lymph node approx. 2 cm. The doctor then prescribed predisone which did absolutely nothing. He also sent me for bloodwork which didn't seem to show anything except elevated Bilirubin. Over the past two months I have developed about 6 - 8 additional swollen lymph nodes in my upper chest and breast on both sides of my body. I also have crippling hip and back pain that comes on one week before my cycle and continues for approx. a week after. My period is very regular and normal. I have been very tired and having trouble sleeping. To date Lyme disease, HIV, rheumatoid arthritis, and thyroid issuses have been ruled out. I see my gyn this Friday for my yearly. Everything to date has been normal with regards to that. I have had several rashes that started coming and going randomly for approx 2 years. I would appreciate any feedback as I have looked tried without much success to find a cause that fits my symptoms.

  • I would recommend a lymph node biopsy and culture.Have you had a Tbc skin test?

  • I have all of those symptoms as well but I was told by my doctor that it didn't mean too much as all the tests came back fairly normal. Hopefully this other doctor tomorrow will have something more for me. I will ask about the TB skin test.
