3 weeks ago I developed a swollen left knee. It was extremely painful and swollen. I had not to my knowledge had any injury. The area has not been discoloured or had any heat. It is swollen arond whole joint but is particularly tender just above the knee. After few days the swelling on the knee reduced but was left with stiffness and aching. But my left ankle and foot became puffy, sore and stiff. This keeps happening, the knee swelling will reduce but my ankle and foot will swell. The ache and stiffness does not go away. I have been to the GP twice - first told to raise it , pack ice around it for 20 mins, and keep a tight bandage around it for 2 days. This did not in anyway help - so returned to GP who said nothing much was happening and that it would heal over time (but this was on one of the days when the swelling had reduced only to come back the next day)! The pain keeps me awake at night, please help.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
