HELP!! My doctor is stumped! My itchy eye/forehead swollen lumps started about one year ago. I had some mild swelling around my left eye that I would describe as a patch about the size of 1/2 dollar coin. The patch went away after about 2 or 3 days and, about a week or two later, would return in a slightly different place - moving slowly up my forehead into my hairline, back down and into my right eye. Sometimes my eye is almost swollen shut. The swollen patch itself is itchy, "squishy" with a hard center...almost like an insect bite..but the swellings seem too localized and time interval recurrence too regular to be insect bites. I have only one patch/lump at a time. Stress may be a possible trigger. Can anyone help???

  • hi there,I have the same problem. I've been to see my GP 5 times and an allergist and they don't have any answers for me! I believe it's some sort of allergy....I've had my problems for 2-3 months now and the only thing that works is prednizone (which has nasty side effects and shouldn't be taken for any length of time) I've been doing my own research into the matter and have come up with a couple things it might be.... first let me tell you my symtoms to see if it's the same thing....I have swollen eyes, red flaking skin around them and on my face...bump and dry patches all over my face... my eyes sometimes are so swollen that i can't open them. Its worse in the morning. I have a rash (bug bite looking ) on my forearms upper chest thats super itchy! oh and my skin around my eyes looks like an old person (aged and wrinkly) charming huh! so anyway does this sound like what you have? the research i've been doing has lead me to this..... http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/54542/thimerosal_beware_of_the_allergy_symptoms.html?cat=71 let me know what you thinkhope it helps,Jeannieps i have more links if you think this might be relevant
