I am a 53 year old woman who had a complete hysterectomy in 1978. About a year ago I started to swell right under my breast all the way down. Some days I am flat, some days I am 9 months pregnant. In 10/07 I went to my Dr who sent me straight to the hospital due to my blood pressure. They kept me one day and did so many test. I was given a clean bill of health for my heart & stomach. They did a ultra sound over all my stomach & vaginal area.

I quit smoking when I left the hospital that day but my stomach is the same. One day I am 5 months pregnant and another 8 months. Some days I have pain, some days I do not. I have gone from a sixe 4-6 to 14-16.

What now? I am so tired. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you in advance for any information.

  • Dear Debby. I think that it may be caused by water retention, or possibly Edema. I'm not too sure but if you're curious as to if that is what it is then here's a link;http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EdemaSorry I couldn't help you out more, but I'll talk to a retired Nurse of over 25 years and a Pharmacist and see if they know what it is.
