I have had a swollen right foot for 10 days. Near the big toe on the joint to the foot, I cannot touch a small area as it is painful. I cannot wear any shoe or even slipper. I went to the doctor on Monday who prescribed Antibiotics and anti-inflammatories, but today - 5 days later - my foot actually looks and feels worse. When I lie down the swelling goes down, but as soon as I get up, even for 5 minutes, the swelling comes back.
