I started working at a pet store 3 weeks ago and within the first week my fingertips started to swell, they have been swollen since and kinda painful causing my cuticals to crack and today my fingertips started to peel as well, this is not happening in my whole finger just the tips although it has gotten hard to bend my fingers. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this??? I thought that it was just my body reacting to the different work level and it would go away but now 3 weeks later it is getting really frustrating...Any ideas please advise

  • It could be a reaction to some cleaning product you are using there so wear gloves whenever using chemicals...... Im thinking that you possibly may be having your hands in cold water there at times eg cleaning fishtanks So Chilblanes is a possibility http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chilblains
