Hello, I am a 23 year old, female (otherwise healthy) sufferer of Bulimia for the past 3 years. In the last 1.5 - 2 years I have thrown up every single day after binges occuring 3 to 4 times, sometimes more per day. I am trying to get further on the recovery road but it is difficult. My question for today is regarding my swollen salivary and facial glands. The swelling is getting out of hand and I have been told that once the purging stops, the swelling will stop. However it seems that on days when I purge less, the swelling just gets worse and days when I purge a lot it goes down. How can I stop the swelling? If ceasing purging is supposed to stop it, how long will it take for the body to be regular again? Any help you can offer me is much much appreciated! Thank you.
