I have been to many eye doctors and even had a cat scan to see what could be the cause of my eye being constantly swollen, but they never found out why.
some said it was immune system, or red eye, sinusitus, allergies, and thyroid.
but nothing seems to help it, I am on a lot of vitamins to build up my immune system and for my kidney and thyroid, but it is still no help.
what do you think it could be???

  • I recently had my eye swollen by (I believe) to be my hay fever allergy, and I also had some hair conditioner sting that eye while I was in the showerone day rushing to get to work. I read in one of my mom's health booksthat eating pineapple helps. Well it just so happens I had some fresh pineapple in my refrigerator so I tried it. After a few minutes I noticed myswollen eye starting to diminish. The swelling started to go down slightly. In the health book it stated pineapple helps because pineapples have enzymes in them to help reduce the swelling. Remember to buy (FRESHPINEAPPLE), because if you buy it in the can it may not have the same enzyme factor as when it is freshly cut. Since this is my first day to try this remedy, I know the healing process will be slow, but it does look promising. Also, I was told by a friend, and read in a health book to try and place warm damp cloth on the eye to help the swelling go down. I tried it, and it did help a little. You also mentioned you take vitamins. I also take vitamins, but I notice the best vitamins are the vitamins in liquid form, or capsule form since they absorb faster through your system. I am not a doctor, and I don't work in the medical field. So please consult you doctor before trying any one of these remedies. I hope this helps you. Good Luck!

  • Pineapple has bromelain in it, which may be what's helping the previous post-ee. Did you see an allergist? That's a good place to start.
