I am a 28 year old male.

A few days ago I noticed that the dorsal vein on my ***** was quite swollen. Even when my ***** is flaccid the vein is still swollen, protruding from the base of me ***** to the middle ending in a shape which looks like a knot. When I first saw it, I got a bit worried, and went to urgent care where they said it was nothing serious, and referred me to a urologist.

Three days ago, I talked briefly with the urologist on the phone, and he suggested that it is most likely a blood clot on the superficial dorsal vein of the *****, a benign condition that should resolve by itself, but he suggested I do an unltrasound if I want to confirm and document the condition.

Toady, I did the ultrasound and the person doing it was quite bewildered. He said that he could not detect any blood flow in the vein, and asked me to flex my stomach muscles and relax them a few times (I suppose to see if that would trigger any flow?). Since the doctor is on vacation, I will have to wait for a week before getting his opinion on the ultrasound results.

Do people with blood clots in their dorsal vein usually have any blood flow in that vein? Why don't I have any blood flow? Is my vein blocked 100%? Is the condition that I have serious and is it going to get away?

I can still get an erection, although it is not as hard as it used to be before this blood clot got in there.

PS: I am not sure why p*n*s is a censored word. This is a medical forum after all, no?
