i'm really hoping someone can help me. i'm 18 and a virgin. recently i've had really bad itching in my vagina, to the point where i can't sleep at night. it is really painful when i pee, my discharge smells bad and has a strange texture and the inside of my vagina is really swollen. my mum bought me some cream for it and said it worked for her but it isn't working.

please help me.

  • it sounds like a yeast infection. I have had them so badly that the itching keeps me up all night as well. The creams they have like Monistat never work for me. Do go to the doctor so they can give you a prescription. They usually give me Diflucan which works pretty quickly. For the itching, my dr gave me a ointment that i could put on to ease the itching but the Diflucan took care of it within about 24 hrs. Its possible you have both a yeast infection and a urinary tract infection. I tend to get both at the same time. feel better soon! both of these infections make me wish I wasn't a female sometimes..lol. I never hear of a guy getting a yeast infection or complaing about a UTI. Its hard for them to get them

  • You most likely have a yeast infection. If over the counter meds dont help then you need to see a doctor. Until you get meds try using potato startch after cleaning and drying your vagina. It stops the itch enough for you to fall asleep. Good luck!
