This started a year ago
After a trip to London ( 1 hour flight) where I had been walking a lot in flip flops , so Gp thought shin splints.
But they have never gone away.
They mostly only swell on the outer half from the bone out, no swollen ankles, sore when swollen and when they swelling goes away can be achey.
No pitting oedema visible at all...
tested for clotting ( scans)- none
heart trace ran- all fine
Liver function tested- all fine
I have tried elevation- this works, when I get up in the morning, they are fine, by the time I get out of the shower they are swollen again.
I strap them during the day to control this now.
I have also tried coming off my contraceptive pill, no difference.
I am 42 years female and otherwise in perfect health...
This is dragging on now, and my gp is stumped.... any help/advice would be appreciated as they are constantly sore and a real pain.....
