Hi I am new on this Forum and was just wondering if anyone could help sort my problems. Had TKR 9mths ago and since then have always had a problem at the back of my leg, but this has been much worse over the last few weeks, it feels very tight, stiff, painful and seems to be throbbing right down to the calf, it is quite unbearable most of the time except when I am sleeping.
About a month ago I had a fall on ceramic tiles right on the TKR, so called OS and went to see her. She Xrayed it, said the Knee joint was all ok but bruised the tissue and this would set me back a good few months. She examined the back of leg and is of the opinion (no MRI scan) that I have a Bakers cyst and this is probably the problem. Can't drain it has it would come back. I have my doubts though because I have read they can't tell this without the MRI scan. The pain is becoming worse, OS has referred me to PT, what he will do I don't know. So please has anyone had this kind of thing happen to them.Regana.
