I have been sick for well over a month now with what doctors initially said was a virus. I had various symptoms at different times including swollen lymph nodes, fevers, night sweats, and a cough. Each symptom lasted 3-5 days and then a new one began. I went to the doctor, had a series of blood tests done, and my latest one came out all normal (white blood cell count, etc) except for I was a little protein deficient. About 3 weeks ago my ankles and calves started to swell and pit. This has been constant and the only thing that seems to help is staying off of my feet (but even then they are still slightly swollen and still pit). In the last 2 weeks I've had terrible diarrhea and nausea to the point where anything I ate tore my stomach apart and I had to run to the bathroom. I vomited a few times but it the main problem was the diarrhea. Frequently I noticed mucus as well as undigested food in my bowel. Also, my stomach became swollen and distended.
I went to see a gastrointestinal specialist about my stomach issues and am scheduled for a colonoscopy in 2 weeks, however I still have no appetite and have the nausea. Does anyone know what's wrong with me? I've been sent all over the place for solutions and no one has been able to fix me yet.
