For almost half a year now I've had a small lump in the lower right side groin area, exactly where a lymphatic node might be located or the Inguinal Canal.

The lump never gave me trouble and was rather small which I though might have been a simple swelling. Now however for the past week I've been experiencing uncomfortable feeling from it, very strong heat / warming / burning sensation from it, sometimes chilling. Pushing down on it slightly its like a little liquid pouch under your skin.

However, I feel NO pain, just the burning sensation.

Somebody please confirm that it is possibly an Inguinal Hernia, and what I should do.

Thanks !

  • I think the only way to confirm a hernia is to have it examined by a doctor who will try to reduce it (push it in) and other maneuvers. Since it sounds like it might be inflamed, it might be better to go in sooner rather than later (hernias can strangulate- and if it isn't a hernia you still need to get it examined by someone because it sounds inflamed)...Best Wishes
