Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with this problem.
I'm 43 and single, and have always had a good sex drive, no erection problems, etc. Sometime about a year ago however I noticed a very sudden drop in my level of horniness, meaning that when I get turned on, the feeling is nowhere near as strong.
I first noticed the problem laying in bed one morning when I was thinking about something sexual for quite some time, and I didn't have an erection, even though I was still very wet. I normally always got an erection quite easily just by thinking of something sexual, but now that's pretty much a rarity, I pretty much need physical stimulation to make it happen.
The funny thing is that I don't really have a problem maintaining an erection as such, it's just that that strong burning feeling you get when you're sexually excited just isn't there anymore. Also I used to have very sensitive nipples, when a woman played with them I got very aroused, but now pretty much nothing. Same with my testicles, I used to enjoy them being squeezed a bit by a woman but now I can take it or leave it.
I still enjoy sex and get still get aroused and everything, just not quite as much as before. During sex if I get momentarily distracted or have to avoid reaching an orgasm, it will be quite hard to build it back up again. Sometimes I'd get quite ****y, then suddenly lose the urge, and it would take quite some time to get ****y again. I don't think it's an anxiety issue because I notice the difference even when masturbating, sometimes I can lose the urge halfway through for a while, and sometimes it takes me quite a while to reach orgasm.
One concern I did have was that I may have suffered some kind of testicle damage, I've had sex several times with a woman who really squeezed them very hard and gave them a hard time, when you're very aroused you don't really feel the pain so much. I remember I had sex with her sometime before I noticed my problem, I can't really remember how long before, but that was the last time I remember enjoying having my testicles squeezed.
I went to the doc and he ran a full blood test, he said everything's normal, testosterone level is normal, I know when you get testicle damage you generally have low testosterone, so it's all a bit of a mystery. The doc said that everyone loses it a bit as they age buy my concern is that it seemed to happen so suddenly in my case. So anyhow, I'd really appreciate any help anyone can offer.
