Here's what happens to me.

Every now and then I start feeling cold (for no particular reason). I feel cold but it feels like my skin is radiating heat. My temperature at that time however is normal, so it feels like a low grade fever but it's not fever. I'll be cold for 10-15 minutes and then will get extremely tired, I just have to lay down and sleep.

I can sleep for a couple of hours, then I'll wake up feeling extremely hot (not sweaty). And still feel like I'm radiating heat... but still no fever.

I used to feel like that when coming down with a cold or with the flu, but now it's happening kinda randomly. My blood sugar levels are normal when it happens as well. Everything seems normal on the thyroid side as well.

I'm not sure what else it could be and It's happening quite often now and I don't know how to make it stop. Any advice will be appreciated!

  • You might be surviving from Low Blood Pressure. Sometimes it could happen that you feel cold and you need to sit down or you need to sleep for some time. When you feel so at that time your blood pressure becomes low and when you take rest for 15 to 20 minutes, you will feel better. Go to a good doctor and tell him about this. Do one thing, when you feel like cold or something, just go to a doctor and check your blood pressure.

  • Geenie-I know this is an old thread, but did you ever figure this out? This is exactly what happens to me, and you are the first person I have come across with identical symptoms. I do not have diabetes, and my blood pressure runs high (I take medication to control it) so I really doubt it's due to that. I monitor it on a regular basis. Thanks!Every now and then I start feeling cold (for no particular reason). I feel cold but it feels like my skin is radiating heat. • I get this frequently.

I suddenly get cold and fatigued, my eyes start drooping and I feel like I need to sleep out of no where, staying awake is very difficult. Also my hands get cold to the touch.

After sleeping I wake up really warm/hot.

    It's really debilitating...

I have some depression and anxiety issues, which can have any symptoms to be honest... I usually rule out any physical issues as anxiety related. Having said this, my sister has ME, and says she relates to a lot of my symptoms too.
