Hi! Please help me, I've had strep throat symptoms for almost four days now without a fever (sore throat, hurts to swallow, white substance on tonsils, headache, ear pain, loss of appetite etc.) I went to the local urgent care yesterday (Saturday) and the doctor was somewhat confused when the strep test came out negative. He prescribed Zithromax and is treating it like strep anyway, however I think it could be tonsilitis. Whatever it is, it must be antibiotic resistant because the symptoms are getting worse after about 36 hours of treatment. What should I do? This is seriously unbearable the pain is SO bad now.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
