Ths strange feeling has happened 4 times in the last 14 days. I have not felt it previously. It happened to me twice shortly after arriving to work. Once while I was making breakfast and the most recent while I was sitting on the couch. At first, I thought it was maybe because I needed to eat. Well, today it happened after breakfast. Seems to rule that theory out.
What is happening: I suddenly start to feal like I am going to pass out, I immediately sit down since I will be falling further if I am standing. As I am sitting there, I start to have memories, or visions. I am not sure what it is. I am also thinking- "Is this real or fake? What is this?" I have these memories/visions up 'til I stop feeling like strange in my head. As soon as all of the strange feeling goes away, I can't remember anything that was in my head. I can only remember wondering what it was. It is only lasting for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.

I have been to the doctor and they came up with nothing. My blood came back normal, my blood pressure and heart beat are fine. All of my reflexes are normal. I do have an appointment with a neurologist, but that isn't for another 2 weeks. I would love to have some kind of a clue.

Everything happens in the morning. On 1/22 it was shortly after arriving to work. On 1/28- I was cooking breakfast. On 1/29- shortly after arriving to work. I thought it went away because it didn't happen again 'til 2/4.

Another thing is my body temperature seems to rise. I have not taken a temperature, but I start to get really hot. If I am wearing a seeater, I have to take it off instantly. When someone sees me while it is happening, they say that my face turns very pink in the cheeks and nose.

I hope someone can help

  • I'm sorry you are having such scary symptoms. Sounds like a real puzzle. A few things come to mind, and obviously your neurologist will come up with a really big list of things to investigate:-the part of your brain that has memories is close to the hypothalamus which controls temperature, so your neurologist will probably check for some kind of structural problem (with imaging) that could explain both things-some autoimmune diseases can cause transient episodes of flushing and also the memory/hallucination (??) type episodes-he or she will also probably do some sort of work-up for seizures or other electrical (or perfusional) troubles in the brain-they will probably do some kind of endocrine work-up, tooThis isn't much help, sorry. I'm glad your appointment is coming up soon. Let us know what he/she says (although they will send you for tests and then see you back before you get any really useful info).Good Luck!

  • my post may sound weird to you but if so.. please ignore it. IF (all medical issues need to be counted out first) no medical issue is to be found.. maybe your halluncinations or visions are psychic visions. I spent many years studing clairvoyance and attending psychic circles learning clairvoyance etc and know from this, when visions present.. often one will feel warmer like ones temperature has risen, due to the energy increase involved. (ones energy raises to recieve visions). In the morning.. usually just on or right after waking.. one can be more "open" to receive visions due to the hypnopompic or hynagogic like state and get hypnopompic imagery. Maybe you are not coming out of that state (the state between sleeping and waking) well or reentering it (esp if you still feel sleepy in morning).. hence having psychic or just dream images (symbolism) come in with the resulting energy (the warmth) raise. It is common for undeveloped psychics to not be able to remember their visions when they come out of one and also to get lightheaded due to the energy raise which naturally is happening too................... As i said.. ignore all this if it sounds too weird for you, but it may be something to think about esp if no medical reason is found. Your symptoms just fit what I know about that so i thought i should maybe say something.

  • Fortunately, I am a very open minded person and I don't find any of what the 2 of you are saying. If that is what is happening to me, I would love to know how to "Let it happen" If that is what is going on with me.taniaaust1 i too thaught the same thing when i read this posting. however i had stopped my self from giving the same addvice you gave due to people thinking that i was wierd. i have to agree though. jstevens617 has some thing happened in to some one in your life. or, are you asking for addvise from someone passed. hears a tip to listen, when and if this happens again relax and dont fight. try to embrass the images and try not to think. be open and listen. you will gain the addvise that you seek... sorry too if this seems off the wall to you. but dont rule it out. :)

  • Also check into having any sleep problems, even ones you weren't aware that you had like maybe a neighbors dog that keeps barking which doesn't "totally" awaken you. The reason I mention this possibility is because sleep deprivation can produce those exact same symtpoms. A comprehensive website on sleep and sleep deprivation, with a full list of symtpoms (there are OVER 37 a person can get) is here :http://sleepinfohelp.blogspot.com/

  • Look up "Temporal Lobe Epilepsy"... it sounds like a perfect fit to me! These seizures (considered "complex partial seizures") occur in the temporal lobe and can be characterized by strange sensations (temperature included, as well as smelling a strong smell that isn't actually present, or seeing things in a dreamy way), flooding of memories, confusion, seeing visions like you mentioned, and strong religious feeling (as well as a lot of other things). The temporal lobe controls emotions, so a seizure there can make you feel suddenly really happy, afraid, etc.Hopefully this helps, and good luck!
