Hey guys,

I wanted to start a new thread. I had a thread titled "End of my Rope" but there has been a very troubling symptom lately that has been very concenring. I get this weakness in my right arm at times and a tingling, pins and needls sensation. I also periodically get this buzzing or vibrating sensation in my fingers. In addition to the tingling I get in my feet and sometimes into the lower leg, I get this buzzing in the feet at times and even into the leg. lately I have had this pulsing or vibrating right on the front past of my near the ankle. Also this weird shooting tingling sensation in my right wrist when I turn my wrist a certain way or grab a door ***b the wrong way for example. I hate this.

Could this all be from Monoclonal Gammopathy(which I have)? Lyme disease? All stem from the terrible mechanics of my feet, hence the falling of my arches, hence pain and tingling. oculd the upper body symptoms all be anxiety?

I am being tested for Lyme in two weeks by a respected doctor specializing in Lyme located in Chadds Ford, PA.

Thanks for listening.

  • maybe theres some type of brain infection or tumor? sounds like a neuro problem to me. MRI and CAT scan just to be safe and an LP is a good choice to rule out any sort of infection

  • I had an MRI of the brain a while back and it showed nothing other than a small aneurysm so small they can do nothing. The CT showed the same thing. What is an LP? The Lyme doc I am seeing is Doctor S. in Chadds Ford, PA. Can I mention his name?

  • take a good quality electrolite daily--low in electrolites can cause those sensations--you were checked for diabetes? I think you should get a second opinion on the aneurysm; I was told numbness and tingling in the leg can come from the brain...

LP is the short form for lumbar puncture (http://www.webmd.com/brain/lumbar-puncture something good to read) also this can paralyze you IF DONE INCORRECTLY so have it done with a good doctor or a doc you trust

  • What could the lumbar puncture determine???? I eat very well and I know many foods, including much of what I eat contains plenty of natural electrolites. Maybe I am not obsorbing these through food? I was told I do not have diabetes. I am lost now..... I saw two doctors, a neurologist and an optholmologist and none felt it necessary to look into the aneurysm. They said it was too small.

I saw two internists, three neurologists, two rheumatologists, an orthopedic spine specialist and a hemotologist. None mentioned that! Should I call and mention? What about the Iron problem? My iron has been low though.

  • I saw two internists, three neurologists, two rheumatologists, an orthopedic spine specialist and a hemotologist. None mentioned that! Should I call and mention? What about the Iron problem? My iron has been low though. well then those doctors are IDIOTS i could rattle off a couple hundred infections that can make way into the brsain WITH EASE through the spinal cord and a LP could catch those so quickly. call them back, because i have heard of people getting an LP even when they dont show many signs of infection and then HEY look at what the LP shows! a deadly infection. so yesw the LP is vital in the search for a diagnosis. have them put you on antiparasites aswell, because parasties could do the exact same thing as a brain infection (actually a parasite could do more prema damage) so it is important that you bring up these two things ASAP also, if your iron is low (im gonig to assume) that you have had MANY blood tests lately. and hemochromatosis goes undetected in so many peopel for that reason. i was searching the internet for hemochromatosis info and found that iron can only leave the body FROM THE BLOOD that means if you have had many blood tests iron levels will be low (or look like a normal persons iron levels) but really thats only because of the blood tests. and many doctors dont even THINK of that possibility. hope i could have helped :)

  • try some expensive electrolites...what about a preventative doctor??? they run all kinds of extensive hormone levels--rare ones that affect everything..

  • try some expensive electrolites...what about a preventative doctor??? they run all kinds of extensive hormone levels--rare ones that affect everything.. I am still curious about the Lyme and I go for testing next Monday and it will cost me about $200 because some of the blood work is not covered. I don't have brain fog and am gaining weight which I have been trying to do......so should I rule out Lyme? I am still wondering about the hemochromatosis thing but my iron was low even for my first blood test when this all started. :confused:I still may ask the hemotologist I had seen. I am really curious about the spinal tap. I am going to ask the hemotologist as well. He is the most helpful. I know what you all mean about a preventative doc. What type? I also thought of seeing a vascular specialist as well. When does it end.....
