I am a 19 year old male. I'm nearly 6'3'' in height and I way about 175lbs. or maybe less. I am underweight in proportion to my stats due to having a light bone density. After researching this I came to the conclusion my body metabolizes the fatty acids and collegen I need to be my healthiest. It's a rare condition among males in the U.S. I wanted to know why because I feel immasculated and further more it does complicate my work out. Why does my body do this? I found the diagnosis of Leptin resistance. First I found an article that states "High leptin counts weaken bones." Then I searched for ways to lower leptin and more information on this naural hormone that calibrates food intake, adrenaline levels, as well metabolic rates. Every site and article I've found indicates leptin resistance except for one key factor: I am not fat. I'm skinny and underweight. What is the missing link? I want to help my body, but I'm not even sure what's wrong. This is important to me, if anybody knows about leptin complications please help.
