Bio- I'm a 27 yo male, 5'10" and 125lbs (approximately)
I was at 160lbs by Christmas through exercise and eating more than my required calories, but stress and poor eating has brought me back down to my weight of last Summer.
I'm under a lot of stress right now because I'm supposed to be returning to work, but I can't function like this.
I have no known diseases or past illness except strep throat about a decade back.
I did suffer low blood pressure to the point where I passed out one day and had to go to the doctor about it. That was about 4 years ago, but I recovered and got back to good health.
That's the history, this is what I've been suffering though and I've never had this sickness before. I thought perhaps just a flu but I'm becoming a little concerned. I hope it'll pass but I'm not sure:
I have been sick for 5 consecutive days now.
It began Thursday with extreme hunger after waking up. I ate a banana, had a coffee, and went to a restaurant. The smell of food and atmosphere (noisy, full of people moving around) made me feel a little nauseous. I ordered fries with gravy. Once the food came I was hungry, but eating just a half dozen fries made me feel really nauseous. I had to go to the bathroom and did number 2, but it was pure liquid.
I must have done number 2 around 1/2 dozen times that morning/afternoon. Each time it was pure liquid.
By evening I was feeling slightly better, but I hadn't eaten anything and only drank two coffee.
Finally by late evening my appetite felt normal and I was able to stomach some chicken noodle soup.
I went to bed hungry though.
I woke up starving, the hunger pain was so bad I had to lay on the floor and felt nauseous even thinking about some foods.
I had a coffee once I could move and tried to eat some of a bagel.
I used the washroom, number 2, at least a half dozen times again... each time the feces was liquid or near liquid consistency.
By noon I felt hungry but able to function. I went out and bought a fruit cup and a banana. I had to eat them slowly, just a little bit, then wait for my stomach to settle, then a little more.
Again I did not start feeling better until late in the evening around 6 or 7.
Same scenario. Nauseous hunger pains. Tried a coffee and bagel, took about 2 hours for nausea to subside somewhat and become normal hunger pain. Again it took about 2 hours to subside enough to function without feeling on the verge of throwing up. Again feces was liquid and I went to the bathroom nearly a half dozen times. I ate a banana again and a vegetable cup once the nausea became normal hunger.
Exactly the same as day 3. Only difference was I purchased 2 Instant breakfast drinks, half and half milk, and multivitamins following the nausea in the morning. I also drank more water this day because I was concerned I may be becoming dehydrated. I took a multivitamin with the banana, bagel, and fruit cup in the morning fearing I may be lacking some serious vitamins or minerals. I took another pill later that evening with a half bowl of chili when the constant hunger/nausea had subsided somewhat.
I woke this morning actually feeling just normal hunger. I got up, ate a half a banana and drank a glass of milk, and the extreme nausea of the past four mornings returned almost right away. I lay down on the floor waiting for the feeling to pass enough to finish the banana. I forced myself to stomach the rest of the banana and half an Instant Breakfast drink. I felt the extreme nausea/hunger till again around noon... always seems to take about 2 hours to subside into normal hunger. I ate half a can of chicken noodle soup. This made me feel a little better, but the hunger is still there. It is almost as if eating makes me more hungry until the evening. My feces is only slightly more solid today but I have still used the washroom four or five times now.
Is this going to pass? Is it food poisoning or the flu? What's wrong with me? Why does eating in the mornings make me feel like I haven't eaten in a week?
Why do I use the washroom #2 so many times in the morning?
Why does the morning sickness take 2 hours to subside into almost normal hunger?
Why do I feel hungry/nauseous till 6 or 7 in the evening?
I feel pretty much normal again by the evenings other than a little exhausted from the morning/afternoons struggles.
