Please help! I am a 35 year old female. I am scheduled to have a colonoscopy in 2 days, was diagnosed about 6 years ago with IBS. Have been "just dealing with it" since, About 3 or 4 months ago, I started having sharp, stabbing pains in rectum/tailbone area. It has gotten increasingly worse, which is why I went to the MD and am going to have tests. I have really bad diarhhea withh alternating constipation every day. The pain in my rear is so bad that I always feel it now, although recently it has become more of an achy pain, and a sensation of, I dont know, it kind of feels like there is a golf ball up there. It is the most horrible feeling. I am kind of thinking that it could be totally unrelated from the IBS, but I dont know. Could there be some sort of rectal mass pressing on the nerves in my tailbone? I am scared. Please help....Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
