Strange burning?

I'm a teenaged girl, and have been having this problem since I was around six or seven. About 65% of the time, when I urinate, I get this strange burning sensation the minute I'm done reliveing myself. It's extremely uncomfortable and lasts for about 10-20 minutes. The only thing I can do to make myself more comfortable while the burning sensation is happining is to sit on my foot. Sometimes a warm shower (but only a shower, baths don't help), will relieve the burning. I have talked to two doctors about this. The first one said I was thinking too much about it, and the second one tested my urine for some form of IBD. The tests came back negative.

I also talked to the second doctor about the excessive bleeding I get during my periods, and she said it could be a result of endomitriosis. She also said that the burning may be because of endomitriosis. I was never tested for this condition.

So, I'm not sure what's going on here. I really just want to figure out what's going on, I don't want to live the rest of my life this way! When this condition started, there wasn't any burning. Just a feeling like I hadn't emptied my bladder fully, but when I would try to urinate again, there was nothing left. The burning started maybe a year ago. When I have to urinate, I can tell when it's going to be a time when it will burn, as I feel pressure in my lower abdomen, mostly my hips, and I can already feel it starting to burn a little.

Thanks for your time!!

  • Have you ever been tested for interstitial cystitis? It's a bladder condition. Do a Google search on it. I'm not going to lie and say the test and initial treatments are pleasant but once treatment is started, there is much relief.Do you get a lot of abdominal plain around your bladder area? Has this been worked up by a GYN doctor?

  • Are you drinking enough water? Dehydration can cause burning after urination (urine is too concentrate)
