I have noticed a bump on the inside of my elbow that has been there the last 2-3 weeks that i know of. It is located right above the bone on the inside of my arm. I think it is a lymph node, but not exactly sure. It is a bit swollen and is sensitive to the touch. I have no cuts on my hand or arm as i saw that could be a cause. The only other thing i have noticed with that arm is a pain which seems to be in the bone of my forearm when I lift weights. Does anyone know what this could possibly be?

  • could just be a harmless cyst...you might want to check with a doctor about getting it removed..

  • Even though lymph drains from everywhere, it doesn't look like there are nodes in the antecubital area of the elbow. Stretch your arm out flat on a table with the palm up. Is the bump on the thumb side, or the pinkie side?

  • Hopefully it is nothing big but I would get it looked at. I know from experiance there are too many scary things out there that can get really bad if we let them go to long. Don't ignor anything.

  • A simple xray of the forearm or elbow will show whether it's a simple bone cyst, synovial cyst or something worse. Are you a man 10-20 years old? Simple bone cysts are common in this age group. If you are still growing, you don't want trouble in the epiphysis (growth area) of the bone.
