Strange Allergic Reaction---Can anyone help me figure this out?

I have change of season allergies, worse in some places than others. But usually these allergies are not so bad that I cannot function, just the basic headache, sinus pressure, some ringing in the ears. Usually Claritin takes care of these symptoms.

What I really need help with is something that happens to me when I'm South of Ocala, Florida, in Hillsborough County and Pinellas County. I start getting these symptoms usually after being there for 24 hrs. And the symptoms start to vanish as I leave driving North into Marion County, FLA.

Swollen glands under my jaws

My face swells up like a basketball (especially my cheeks)

Swelling around the eyes

Ear Ringing

Prickling feeling just below my skin.

Migrane Headache

Major Sinus Pressure between my Eyes

Overall horrible feeling

These Symptoms occur only when I go into this area, the symptoms vanish as I leave the area. I would like to find out what is causing this because I have family members I can not even go visit down there because of this. I've done all the skin tests with an allergy doctor and they all came back negative.

Please help me if you've had this experience, know what the cause it is and/or how to control it?

Thank you,

  • Have you ever had an allergy test done? you should get one for food and for things liek dustmites, grass, cats, dogs, etc. You also should get checked for preservatives in food such as aspartame, msg (really bad chemicals in yogurt, milk, gum, soda etc) becareful what you eat. Search what aspartame is and stuff. Also, check for gluten and lactose????
