For the past 4 days I've had quite bad butterflies in my stomach and feel quite uncomfortable with it. I know that it could be caused by anxiety or stress, and admittedly I had a trigger last week that made it seem logical (a thief in our house) but really, I am quite a controlled person and would have expected it to go away by now, since I am no longer feeling the same anxiety. It is starting to affect my sleep as well. The only other time I have felt something similar I was extremely stressed at work, and was put on a low dose of beta blockers, but it was fine after a few weeks. So my question is, is it worth going to a doctor about this? Could there be something physiological causing it, rather than anxiety?
