About two years ago I used to get stomach pain/nausea/fatigue after a few minutes in the shower, almost every time I took a shower. It stopped for a few years and now it has returned. After 5-10 minutes in the shower, I start having those same symptoms. Can someone tell me what this is? I've researched the symptoms and nothing came up. Thanks in advance.

  • Are you taking really hot showers? Hot water will thin your blood causing faintness, fatigue, etc...Does your heart pound? Pamela

  • does standing still (on the spot) on a hot day for the same length of time cause the same symptom?? if so it could be something like POTS .. postural orthostatic taccycardia (i hope ive spelt it right). heat makes POTS symptoms worst and they are bad while standing still. ...... another thought i had is that it could be chemical sensitivity to chlorine or whatever the water has been treated with. chemical sensitivities ive found can come and go (all dependant at times on other body stressors too). If this is the issue thou you'd get the problem at pools etc (when not standing in water). So you need to know what it causing the symptom..the actual water or the act of standing in heat.

  • I take normal temperature showers. not too hot.-I've never noticed that standing still on one spot did the same thing, but i've never tried. But I do stand still in the shower, so I think that might be it.
