20year old female. 21 in september. 5'6, currently 105lbs. Beginning sometime in June 2010 I noticed feeling full quickly after eating, not being able to eat much, all of a sudden sensitive to dairy. Bloating, dull achey stomach ache after eating, nausea, sometimes constipation, sometimes diarrhea. This happens whenever I eat. No matter what it is. Toast and crackers is the only thing that doesn't cause symptoms to appear. Somedays I will go without Symptoms, other days it's horrible. The pain is usually on left side of abdomen right under rib cage and all the way down to lower abdomen. Some days it in my lower back left side. Also I've never had heartburn a day in my life and now I strictly watch what I eat because I know what triggers it. I've googled til I can't anymore. No matter what though it all comes back. Please is anyone could have any advice or help i would be forever grateful. Thank you and God Bless.

  • Have you considered a soy or gluten intolerance? Although you said toast and crackers are okay, might be worthwhile to try an elimination diet where you take out gluten, dairy & soy (since you already have a potential dairy sensitivity). Any of these 3 can give severe stomach pains, not to mention the internal damage they can cause. My son doubles over in pain within 15 min of eating any soy, even Tostitos tortilla chips that are cooked in vegetable (soybean) oil that is supposedly non-allergenic. Remember that gluten and soy are in many forms and in most packaged foods so you'll need to read all ingredients and mainly eat real foods that you prep and cook. Would try for at least 10 days and be prepared that you could have some withdrawl from the gluten. Good luck. 20year old female. 21 in september. 5'6, currently 105lbs. • Hi. It seems that you have problems with your stomach and pancreas, and I think also with duodenum. I don't have enough details from you, but let's say:1) pancreatitis2) duodenitis or duodenal ulcer (most likely)3) gastritis or stomach ulcerDid you have any test before?Did you check your pancreas by ultrasound?Sorry, to be sure you have to pass all necessary tests and answer a medical questionnaire.Anyway, I suppose your diseases can be cured easily.

  • It could be irritable bowel syndrome.. one can get both constipation and diarrhea with IBS. Certain foods eg spices is a common one, can trigger off IBS. Also lactose intollerance could be your issue (one can be tested for that)........ To the other responder. It is possible you are being moderated due to trying to get people off site and telling them to email you. You should respond at the site as others are reading the threads and whatever you say could help them too.

I was thinking IBS, I've taken dairy out of my diet and that never seemed to help. Sometimes I have a little (like grilled cheese or Mexican food, frappe drinks with milk, gravey's containing milk). Sometimes inget symptoms sometimes I do not. So it's so unpredictable! I'm seeing a dermatologist for ance and she said whatever is going on could have been part of making my ance worse. (moderately severe acne started when stomach problems did) she said I clearly am lactose intolerant. The Lactaid milk still gave me problems.

  • Also, it's not just dairy that make symptoms appear. My derm scheduled an appointment for me to see a GI specialist but it's not until July..

  • To taniaaust1:I don't know why my reply is moderated, I just gave the possible preliminary diagnosis without my email or external links. It's easy to check, I have posted it twice. To find out the real reasons it will take much communication which involves personal information about particular conditions and tests results. I think it's not reasonable to make such kind of information as public available. Besides, my diagnostics is not helpful for others because diagnosis is always individual. Each person has own causes of diseases.

  • Sorry if you get this message twice - tried to submit the other day but didn't go through.... I'm somewhat along the lines of the person who said IBS. Although you say crackers make you feel better, I would be curious how you would feel after 2 weeks on an elimination diet where you take out all gluten, soy and dairy. My son has horrible stomach pains after eating anything with soy (including tostitos tortilla chips that are made with vegetable/soybean oil) and I also get the lower left back pain just under the ribs after eating gluten and/or sugar. We're now on a gluten/dairy/soy-free diet and have never felt better. Beware that gluten and soy are in almost everything under many different names so you will mostly need to just eat whole fruits, veggies, meats, nuts and you may experience significant withdrawl from gluten for the first week. However, if you can make it through that, you might find some answers to your pains. Good luck!

  • Whatever you think it is please just post here. I need all the help I can get and it would be greatly appreciated.. ThanksHi. Here is my preliminary diagnosis for you. You should define it more precisely.- pancreatitis. Did you check your pancreas? I think you have acute or chronic inflammation process in your pancreas.- gastritis or stomach ulcer. You should pass the gastroscopy test (EGD) to be sure.- problem with your duodenum (small intestines) - it may be duodenitis but I suppose you may have duodenal ulcer intead of duodenitis.- I'm not sure, but there is a minor possibility that you have problems with your large intestine (bowels). Please note that it's not only the possible options, you may have (and you have) these diseases simultaneously! For your case it is most likely. The pain symptoms may point to some additional problems but I don't have enough information in order to estimate right. All your diseases can be cured easily, except the (bowels) problem.Hope it helps.

  • I had stomach pain for a while that sounds similar to what you've been experiencing (never had it in my teens, it started in my late 20's). Take a look at http://www.gipath.com/files/Mastocytic%20Enterocolitis%20PCR_pdf.pdf http://www.thefooddoc.com/mastoctosislinkpage.html I thought maybe I had Celiac and ended up going to one of the few docs in the country that's familiar with Mastocytic Enterocolitis. I had to take three types of anti-histamines (a couple of rounds about a year apart because it acted back up again) and then realized that gluten makes it worse as do seasonal allergies. I don't have the horrible stomach pains or heart burn that I was having.

You may want to look at the ingredients in your skin and hair care products. After getting rid of all gluten containing shampoos, gels, lotions my acne that dermatologists couldn't fix went away.
