I am 19 yrs old.
I have been experiencing stomach pains and other assorted digestive problems for many years now (easily since I was 9 or 10 years old).
List of symptoms:
Severe stomach pains
Gas (burping and really foul flatulence)
Severe intestinal pain
Diarrhea (no blood, but foul smelling and watery, maybe mucus-y) and constipation
Severe nausea lasting anywhere from a few hours, to a few months at a time (often accompanied by severe stomach pains and vomiting).
Joint pain (primarily in hands/knees/hips)
Loss of appetite
Basically, I can't keep food in so I don't want to eat, but when I eat, I just get sick.
I've lost about 40lbs in the past year due to this especially.
It's very concerning. Certain foods and stress levels seem to trigger it, which makes me suspect IBS, but, it also seems a LOT more severe than IBS, because of the pain levels, and the fact that any food, in any amount doesn't help.
I have tried changing my diet, and reducing meal sizes, and nothing seems to help. I'm thinking an allergy and IBS? Or perhaps Celiac's...As it's common of Celiac's sufferers to also have lactose intolerance problems too.
I'm just in so much pain daily, and I want it to stop.
I am planning to see a doctor, but that won't happen for a while, and any thoughts or advice anyone may have would be a blessing.
