does anyone have any ideas as to why my 7 year old niece would have developed a smelly forehead/hair or hairline? It smells bad, even the morning after it is washed it.

  • Children (and some adults) can have "cradle-cap", even though we think of it as a problem for babies. Sounds like a surface yeast infection (kids often get this behind the ears) or other fungal problem that a dermatologist might well be able to address. It may have a very simple solution, and a decent skin specialist should be able to help.
