My problems started with stomach...nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. I had my gallbladder out, still a problem. I have an elevated gastrin level but no stomach acid and (supposedly) normal B12 levels. Now I have developed a severe fluid problem (I can't keep up with my fluids, and if I get behind--3 L a day--the fluid is drawn out of my vessels or bones, I can feel it.) Then I have to catch up.
Now I've developed swelling in my face and neck. And getting increase in skin pigmentation. The skin over my hands seems almost metallically luminous when I'm on the computer, under a light. And now I seem to be getting swelling in abdomen.
Meanwhile, I am so tired I cannot do anything; confused most of the time and have no drive to do anything, often not even to continue pursuing medical care. I just started seeing a therapist to keep on track with this.
I have had everything MRI'd or CAT scanned (the neck and head 2 days ago, no report yet); my blood work is always normal except my blood is always thick. I just saw an endocrinologist who has ordered more blood tests.
